Superman (1978)

Artwork by Tongdee

Richard Donner's 1978 rendition of SUPERMAN. The Thai poster is nearly the same as the US version, except for Tongdee added a bunch of details at the bottom and within the “S”, revealing more of the movie in the process.
As a rule of thumb, many Thai posters drawn up for foreign movies were simply redrawn from the original posters sent over by the distributors. Poster artists like Tongdee were hired to enhance the content of the original poster, often by painting in detailed vignettes highlighting racier scenes from the film.
This poster is prime example of that. Besides the aforementioned details there is almost no difference between this and the US version. But for poster enthusiasts, those details make all the difference.
